Care Advice & Repairs
As with any precious jewel, your Baccarat jewellery requires particular attention.
Crystal and fine or precious pearls is sensitive to heavy or repetitive contact with other objects.
It is recommended to avoid any contact with other objects, including jewellery that could create surface damage.
It is also recommended to avoid contact with substances such as perfumes, lacquers, or detergents that could possibly damage the jewellery. To maintain its brilliance, we suggest cleaning your jewellery with a soft cloth.
- Bar & Tableware
In order to prevent damage, glasses must be washed individually using warm water and a non-abrasive product. We recommend using gentle care dishwasher tablets which may also be used for washing by hand.
Tilt glass downwards and rinse under the faucet ending with the base.
In the dishwasher
Set the dishwasher to the delicate cycle on a low temperature. If the temperature is too high, a chemical reaction may occur that could dull the crystal. We recommend using gentle care dishwasher tablets, which may also be used if washing by hand.
Separate and position the glasses, spacing the glasses far enough apart so that they do not have contact with each other.
Drying and wiping
Place the glasses on a towel or on an absorbent kitchen paper to drain, or wipe delicately holding the glass by the stem to minimize pressure.
Always use a lint-free fine cotton towel or a linen towel. It is best to place the glasses back in their boxes or stand them upright, without touching each other.
It is best not to leave wine in the decanters and to rinse them immediately after use. Decanters must be washed in warm water with a soft sponge. We recommend using gentle care dishwasher tablets, which may also be used while washing by hand.
Decanters should always be stored without a cap to allow for airing.To absorb any remaining moisture, insert a long strand of absorbent kitchen paper for about 10 hours.
We recommend using mineral water as hard water may have damaging effects on the crystal and leave a water line on the upper part of the vase. If there is no mineral water available, it is recommended to change the water level.
If your vase is heavy and bulky, and thus difficult to move, we suggest not filling the vase completely but adding water or even ice cubes on a daily basis.
Clean them with a soft cloth.
Anti-static products may help protect items from gathering dust.
Large chandeliers must be maintained by experienced professionals who know how to take them apart, to clean each part and to place everything back correctly.
Small and medium sized chandeliers should be dusted regularly in order to avoid more integral cleaning procedures.
Wear cotton gloves lightly moisturized with isopropyl alcohol, and gently rub the crystal pearls and ornaments.
For best results, gloves should be re-moisturized from time to time while cleaning. Be careful to follow instructions for the specific product being used, as contents may be flammable.
Do not place wax candles into candlestick holders by using melted wax.
We recommend the use of non-drip candles.
In case the wax sticks to the candlestick holders, gently wipe it away by using lukewarm water.
We recommend not to let candles burn down entirely (leave approximately 3 inches standing), as the contact with a flame could cause the crystal to shatter.
Common repairs are:
- Removal of scratches
- Repair of chips on glasses, goblets, vases and decorative items
- Polishing of tarnished articles to restore their original shine.

After you complete the checkout process, the Purchase Summary page confirms detailed of the order you have placed and also provides you with a Purchase Summary reference number. We recommend that you print this Purchase Summary page for your records as it may be needed for order references.
Order and Shipment Confirmations
You will receive an order confirmation email which will include an order number - you can use this to track your order in My Account. Once your items have been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with details of which item/items have been sent. Please note that if you order more than one item, it is possible that different items may arrive on different days depending on stock availability.
After your items are invoiced, you will receive an email which includes a link for you to retrieve a VAT invoice for items purchased and shipped to you. This email will be in addition to the Shipment Confirmation email you will receive.

Credit Cards : The total dollar amount of your order is allocated at the time your card is approved, although payment (transfer of funds) does not occur until the order ships. If the amount charged exceeds your credit limit, your order will be automatically canceled.
Gift certificates : Online Gift Certificate can be ordered in any amount starting at $5.00. If the amount of your Online Gift Certificate(s) does notcover the total order amount, you will need to pay the remainder of the purchase with a valid credit card If the amount of your Online Gift Certificate(s) is for more than the total order amount, the balance will be stored for your next purchase using the same Gift Certificate code. - Order Cancellation
You may contact our Customer Service 1.800.215.1300 to check the order status. If the order is already ready to be shipped, it cannot be cancelled. In this case, you will refuse the parcel when delivered and contact the Customer Service to inform them and being refunded when the item is back.

D&P is the charge for catalog and Internet order processing, item selection, packaging, processing, transport and handling. Special delivery requests, including specification of carrier and/or future delivery dates, may include additional charges. Delivery times are not guaranteed, notwithstanding additional charges, but are our best approximation and will vary with specific requests, such as gift box, gift packaging and monogramming. Orders with personalized messages containing inappropriate or offensive language may be cancelled. Shipments and deliveries occur only on weekdays, not including holidays. Apart from the statutory guarantees, Baccarat wishes to offer its customers the possibility of exchanging the Articles delivered under the terms described below.
The Customer and under certain conditions the recipient of a gift purchased by the customer can, at their discretion within 30 days following the date of delivery, make an exchange for an order placed on the website uk.baccarat.com
In these circumstances, the Customer or the recipient of a gift can return the Articles delivered in their original packaging, complete (accessories, instructions etc) with the exchange form correctly filled out, together with a copy of the invoice or packing slip to the following address :

The Customer or the recipient of a gift must provide proof of this return, which assumes that the articles will be returned by using a recorded delivery service /specify carrier. The Customer is responsible for paying the costs of return. A new delivery will only occur after Baccarat has received the Articles returned by the Customer or the recipient of a gift.
For the Customer : the exchange can only involve a Product or Products of an equivalent or higher value than the Article(s) purchased by the Customer. If the value of the Articles chosen in replacement is higher than the Article(s) returned, the Customer must pay the difference in price in accordance with the General Terms of Sale.
For the recipient of a gift : The exchange can only be for a Product or Products of an equivalent amount to the Articles received as a gift.
The initial sale will be rescinded by an exchange, and the price of the initial Order will be credited to the Customer's payment card. The new sale corresponding to the exchange will be governed by these General Terms of Sale. Baccarat will debit the amount of the Customer's second order directly from the payment card used by the Customer for the first sale. The Customer who offered the Articles as a gift will be informed (by the credit and debit of his or her payment card) that the recipient of a gift has exchanged the said gift.
In both cases, the transport costs of the second delivery will be paid by the Customer or the recipient of the gift (who must create a customer account on the Website to pay the Delivery Costs of the exchanged Products). The Customer or the recipient of the gift is responsible for paying the return costs (who must create a customer account on the website to pay the delivery costs of the returned Products).
Only one exchange per Order and per reference is possible.
If the value of the replacement Article(s) is higher than the value of the returned Article(s), the Customer or the recipient of the gift must pay the difference in price.
Any merchandise purchased in store should be returned for a store credit at the store where it was purchased. Please allow 10-14 days for the processing of your return.
Gift certificate recipients will be issued a Gift Certificate Code that is only redeemable for merchandise at Baccarat.com and cannot be redeemed at any store location, cannot be redeemed for cash unless required by law.
